My clients are generally small businesses, with small budgets. Most people have the perception that working with a professional copywriter is prohibitively expensive. It doesn’t have to be, though. I work with clients in two ways: on a per article basis and on a monthly retainer basis.

Monthly Retainer

Opting for a monthly retainer package offers you several benefits:

1. Personalized advice and attention. We will talk regularly, at least weekly, and I will learn a great deal about your business, your challenges and your goals. We will create a strategy for your situation.

2. Flexibility. Although I will base your fee on a set of articles or posts you’d like written regularly, I will also work on other things as you need them. For example, if you hire me to write four blog posts a month, but one month you also need a press release, I’ll be happy to help you with the press release as part of your package. Of course, if you have something extra every month, we will need to re-evaluate your package, but once in a while I don’t mind doing a little extra for long-term clients.

3. A price break. If you choose to contract with me monthly, you will be gaining reliable service. I will be gaining reliable, monthly income – I like stable income! In order to encourage monthly retainer clients, you get a little more for a little less.

4. A team member. My clients’ businesses are important to me. In fact, if I don’t see you benefiting from my work, I will end the relationship. I will work hard to help you succeed.

Because retainer packages are highly personalized, pricing is done by proposal. They range from $25 a month for Facebook Page management to $2000 a month for complete marketing services. If you would like to learn more about retainer agreements, give me a call at 423-463-0681.

Per Article

Most people like to make sure they are comfortable working with me before they agree to a monthly retainer arrangement. Some people get real pleasure from writing their own content so only hire me when they are short on time. Others just need content for their site, and don’t publish a blog or send out a newsletter. There are plenty of reasons that business owners prefer to work on a per article basis.

Basic Pricing per article:

500 words or less, with little or no research required                                               $35

500-1000 words, little research required                                                                    $50

500-1000 words, carefully researched                                                                         $75

1000-1500 words, researched                                                                                        $100
